This was JAOR first ever Jaariyah Project. The meaning of Sadaqa Jaariyah is the giving of continuous charity, almost like a gift that keeps on giving so it’s the act of voluntary making a long-term charitable contribution that continuous to benefit someone other yourself. This project was centered around providing mosques and madrasas with copies of the Quran and was implemented during the first week of June, 2021.
The community were able to participate in the following ways:
- Donating copies of the Holy Quran
- Donate to help us buy multiple copies
Through the donations, we were able to distribute 150 copies of the Quran to Madrasas, Mosques and also Orphanages. Due to the enormous support and donations we received, we even went a step further and provided carpets to a local Prison Mosque in Kajiado and distributed Salah guide books to Reverts.
